On October 24, 2009, millions of people around the globe participated in a range of events highlighting the need to bring carbon emissions down to a healthier 350ppm (parts per million) ahead of an International Conference in Copenhagen in December 2009. Events included Australia's Great Barrier Reef, the Giza Pyramids, the Himalaya, the Great Lakes, USA and also …. Angkor Wat!
Organised by the Raja Yoga Center and the Singing Tree Café, foreigners and a lot of Cambodian students, many of them from ConCERT’s member organisations, cycled from Siem Reap to the temples defying the soaring heat... ConCERT supported the event and some of us blew up their tires, too ;-)
