Ecotours and Responsible Tours

Siem Reap province is full of natural and man-made wonders, from the temples of Angkor, to the river carvings of Kbal Spean and the vastness of Tonle Sap, the largest fresh water lake in SE Asia.

It is also home to approximately 1 million people, many of which have immigrated from other areas of Cambodia in search for a better future. Over a million of tourists also visit the area each year, further stressing the environment and natural resources.

During your visit we encourage the use of Responsible Tour Operators. Many of the organisations we support provide community-based ecotours, supporting the local people and the environment as well as giving you a more meaningful experience.

Tours and Activities:

  • experience life in a floating village
  • visit a bird sanctuary
  • join an adventure tour out in the Cambodian countryside
  • guided tour around the temples
  • spend a morning in a village cooking with locals
  • cycling around the countryside
  • excursions to Koh Ker, Preah Vihear or Anlong Veng
  • dirt bike tours
  • visit a wildlife conservation centre
  • enjoy a meal at a hotel&restaurant vocational training school
  • take a seat in one of the new NGO-Cafés in town

We can put you in touch at no extra cost with one of our partner organisations or responsible tour operators. For information and bookings, contact us at
