Other ways to help

The average stay in Siem Reap is 3 or 4 days.

A few hours, or even a day or two, is usually too short to volunteer, but there are many other ways that you can offer your support during your stay. To find out more, visit the ConCERT office in Siem Reap and our staff will be pleased to give you more information about these activities.

If you need postcards, gifts or souvenirs then call at the ConCERT office.

We have a wide selection on display from our members and some items aren’t available anywhere else on the planet!  We can also let you know of other places in town where you can buy genuine Cambodian crafts, and where the funds go to support local communities.

We all have to eat so why not visit one of the restaurants and cafés run by local projects; that way you can have a meal or a snack and help to fund their work at the same time... Siem Reap is very fortunate to have 2 children’s hospitals that are run by international projects.  Between them they see many hundreds of cases each day, and their success means that they have a large and increasing demand for blood.  The blood donation facilities in both are of the highest international standards, and it is a valuable way to offer your support.  Please contact the hospitals below to find out how you can donate blood during your stay.

If you really wish to support the work of one of our projects but have limited time and find it’s too short to volunteer, it may be possible to arrange a visit. Several of our members have designated staff who, by prior arrangement, can give you a guided tour. Several projects have visitor centres in the town that explain their work, and how it fits in the wider picture of Cambodia.  They are an excellent way to spend an hour or so and all have free admission. During your visit we encourage the use of Responsible Tour Operators. Many of the projects we support, (both businesses and projects), provide community-based ecotours, supporting the local people and the environment as well as giving you a more meaningful experience.
