In addition to linking potential supporters to local projects, ConCERT offers a range of services to the local community.  We have become an effective 3 way link between visitors, businesses, and the local community (via our project members) - all 3 groups can play a vital role in the fight to alleviate poverty, and we promote understanding across the 3 sectors.

We help businesses to form partnerships with local projects

  • this develops a better understanding of the issues, and increases the support they give to the communities where they operate
  • along with providing employment and career opportunities, businesses can become effective hubs in the community, raising awareness of the local problems and helping to provide solutions

We actively promote all aspects of responsible tourism – we:

  • are helping to develop equitable voluntourism programmes
  • provide training on responsible tourism and CSR
  • promote and advise on responsible volunteering
