Become an Ambassador - raise Funds and Awareness
Some projects need volunteers, some projects need help with promoting their work, some projects need management support, or help with planning, or a thousand other things. The one thing they all need is money!
All of our member projects have reached the point where they employ local staff; some of the larger ones employ many hundreds. In this way their work brings a double benefit: they undertake their humanitarian work whilst at the same time providing employment and giving an opportunity to many local people. They also have to cover all the usual costs: electricity, supplies, maintenance, etc. and it’s often lack of funds for these items that limits their activities. If you wish to provide help for one of our member projects, you can provide invaluable support for them after you return home.
Raising awareness of their activities and the problems they are trying to address, whilst at the same time doing some fundraising for them will be greatly appreciated, and can also be a lot of fun. In addition to friends, family, and work colleagues, you can visit schools and workplaces, clubs and projects, churches and youth groups etc.
Events can be as simple, complex, or innovative as your imagination allows and include fancy dress and other themed parties, sponsored activities, talks and presentations, auctions, or simply going around family and friends.
Get involved, have fun and raise some money. In the right hands a little goes a long way in Cambodia.
