About Action pour les Enfants

BBCOur mission is to combat sexual exploitation of children, prevent the crime from happening, protect the rights and interests of children, and assure justice for victimized children by bringing offenders to legal accountability.

Prevention of abuse
A sexually abused child often has to endure lifelong traumatization and suffering. Our prime goal is to prevent the abuse happening in the first place. This is why we exist.

Protection of child victims
Our social workers work closely with victims of sexual abuse, counsel them, and assure any medical and psychological needs are addressed instantly and professionally.

Prosecution of sexual offences
To date we have rescued nearly 400 children and brought close to 170 suspects of child abuses and their accomplices to account.

Training and awareness
Child abuse is often a secret and hidden problem that is not well understood in Cambodian society. Our training programmes play a vital role in exposing this problem. They enable people to identify the danger signs and report suspected cases to APLE who can then take the appropriate action to protect affected children and family members.
